Alhaji Abubakar Kwame Essuman has under his belt over 18 years’ experience in Human Resource Management. His has extensive expertise in Planning & Strategy Development, HR Policy Design & Review, Leadership & Management Development, Organisational Development & Restructuring, Employee Learning & Development, Performance Management, Resourcing, Talent Management & Succession Planning, Employee Engagement & Employer Brand Management, Employee Counselling, Executive Coaching and Alternative Dispute Resolution/Mediation.
He has however held the following positions prior to his current role:
- Head, HR & Administration at Bank of Africa Ghana.
- HR Business Partner (Doubled as Deputy Head, HR) at Access Bank Ghana Limited (then Intercontinental Bank)
- Head, Training and Development (Doubled as Deputy Head, HC) at Intercontinental Bank Ghana Limited.
- Senior Manager for Operations at The Capital Group, Ghana (A Management Consulting Firm).
- Manager, Human Resource Services, The Capital Group, Ghana.
Alhaji is also a trained and professional teacher who has taught in schools in Ghana and the United Kingdom. He had a stint as a Part Time Lecturer in Employee Relations at Ghana Employers Association’s ABE Diploma Programme.
He holds an MBA in Employee Relations from the University of Leicester, UK, a B.Ed. Psychology degree from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana and a Cert. Ed. from the same University.
He is a PRINCE2 certified Project Manager, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) trained, a Certified Trainer, an ICF Certified Transformational Executive Coach and a member of the Association of Coaching Professionals of Ghana (ACP).
Off the job, he is the General Secretary of the Ghana Muslim Mission and a Management Board Member of the National Muslim Conference.
